Financial statement and statement of the selected accounting unit - municipality

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce charakterizuje a analyzuje vybranou účetní jednotku – obec, její hospodaření, právní rámec a způsob zpracování roční účetní uzávěrky a závěrky. Práce je rozčleněna do tří částí. Teoretická část blíže charakterizuje obec, způsob jejího hospodaření, dodržování platné legislativy, a především klade důraz na uzávěrkové a závěrkové operace, jež jsou nezbytné k uzavření účetního období. Účetní uzávěrka se skládá z přípravných prací, které zahrnují kontrolu účetních případů, dotací, pohledávek a závazků, tvorbu opravných a dohadných položek, časové rozlišení, inventarizaci majetku a závazků. Účetní závěrka je tvořena výkazy, které svým uživatelům poskytují informace o hospodaření a finančním postavení účetní jednotky. Analytická část popisuje postupy zpracování účetní uzávěrky a závěrky konkrétní obce Jihomoravského kraje, obce Vlasatice, a to za účetní období 2022. Poslední část bakalářské práce komparuje účetní uzávěrku a závěrku obce s podnikatelským subjektem. Hodnotí jejich postupy, dodržování platné legislativy a navrhuje doporučení pro konkrétní vybranou účetní jednotku – obec Vlasatice.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis characterizes and analyzes the selected accounting unit – the municipality, its management, the legal framework and the method of processing the annual accounting and financial statements. The thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part more closely characterizes the municipality, the way it is managed, compliance with applicable legislation, and above all emphasizes closing and closing operations, which are necessary to close the accounting period. The financial close consists of preparatory work, which includes the control of accounting cases, subsidies, receivables and liabilities, creation of corrective and conjectural items, accruals, inventory of assets and liabilities. Financial statements are made up of reports that provide their users with information about the management and financial position of the accounting unit. The analytical part describes the procedures for processing the financial statements and financial statements of a specific municipality in the South Moravian Region, the municipality of Vlasatice, for the accounting period 2022. The last part of the bachelor's thesis compares the financial statements and financial statements of the municipality with a business entity. It evaluates their procedures, compliance with applicable legislation and proposes recommendations for a specific selected accounting unit – the municipality of Vlasatice.
