Hippotherapy as a form of integration of disabled people into the society

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce vysvětluje vztah mezi koněm a člověkem, jak se pohled člověka na koně v průběhu dějin měnil, jak je člověk koněm chápán a jak by se měl člověk chovat, aby měl s koněm harmonický vztah. Dále se zaměřuje na možnosti léčby člověka zvířaty a podrobněji popisuje vznik hipoterapie, její vývoj a nynější stav v České Republice. Důležitou částí je rozdělení hipoterapie a stručný popis jednotlivých disciplín. Práce zahrnuje informace o odborné záštitě kvalitního provádění hipoterapie. Jsou zde vyjmenovány jednotliví členové odborného týmu, jejich kvalifikace pro práci a úkoly. Jelikož je výcvik koně pro hipoterapií velmi náročný, v práci se zmiňuji pouze o nejdůležitějších krocích výcviku. Poslední část práce mluví o druzích postižení, u nichž je forma léčby koněm nejčastěji využívaná. U každého postižení zmiňuji jeho příznaky, příčiny a vliv hipoterapie na léčbu. Výzkum práce je zaměřen na zjištění, zda podle rodičů postižených dětí, jež využívají hipoterapií, má léčba koněm vliv na integraci do společnosti. Dále práce zjišťuje oblíbenost poloh na koni u dětí a snahu rodičů hledat zařízení v rámci svého bydliště.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis explains the relationship between a horse and a man, how the sight of the man on the horse has changed during the history, how the man is perceived by the horse, and how one should behave in order to have a harmonious relationship with the horse. Further it focuses on the possibilities of the treatment by animals and it also describes in detail the origin of the hippotherapy, its development and the current situation in the Czech Republic. An important part is the distribution of the hippotherapy and a brief description of the individual disciplines. The work includes information on the scientific patronage of the qualified performance of the hippotherapy. There are listed individual members of the specialist team, their qualifications for the work and tasks. Since the training of the horse for the hippotherapy is very difficult, I only mention the most important steps of the training. The last part of the work speaks about the types of disability, where the treatment by the horse is most frequently used. With each handicap I mention its symptoms, causes and the impact of the hippotherapy on the treatment.The research of the work is focused on findings whether, according to the parents of the disabled children who use hippotherapy, the treatment by the horse has an influence on their integration into the society. Further the work finds out the children´s popularity of various positions on the horse, and the parents' effort to find such facilities close to their residence.
