Czech start-up scene in the European context

Abstract:

Daná bakalářská práce se zabývá rozborem české start-up scény v evropském kontextu. Práce je členěna do dvou částí – do teoretické a praktické. V rámci teoretické části je hodnocen start-up jako jev v současném hospodářství. V této části bakalářské práce je definován pojem start-up, jsou představeny vývojové fáze start-upu a je posouzeno financování start-upů. Teoretická část práce se také věnuje hodnocení start-upů v České republice a Velké Británii. V praktické části je představen reálný start-up, působící na území České republiky. V praktické části bakalářské práce je osloven manažer existujícího českého start-upu. Pro zjištění informací, týkajících se vzniku a fungování reálného start-upu, je vytvořen dotazník s uzavřenými otázkami, kde existuje možnost zvolení odpovědí a s otevřenými otázkami, kde respondent nemá k dispozici volbu jednotlivých odpovědí. Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je poskytnutí základního povědomí o české start-lupové scéně ve vybraném evropském kontextu. V práci jsou především využity metody analýzy, dedukce a rozhovoru.

Abstract:

The present bachelor’s thesis studies Czech start-up scene in the European context. This work is divided in two parts – theoretical and practical. In the framework of theoretical part, start-up is evaluated as a phenomenon of contemporary economy. This part of bachelor’s thesis defines a concept of start-up and presents its development phases as well as evaluates the financing of start-ups. Theoretical part of the thesis is also dealing with evaluation of start-ups in Czech Republic and Great Britain. The practical part studies the real start-up which is functioning on the territory of Czech Republic. The practical part of the bachelor’s thesis addresses the manager of existing Czech start-up. Following obtaining of information regarding the beginning and functioning of the real start-up, the questionnaire with closed questions was created in which there is an option for respondent to choose an answer, as well as closed questions in which respondent does not have a choice of single answers. The main goal of the bachelor’s thesis is to provide a basic awareness about Czech start-up scene in a selected European context. The present work uses such methods as analysis, deduction and interview.
