Abstract:

The thesis aims to develop a successful project for opening used cars dealership “BudgetCars” through importing used cars from Germany in the unstable and poorly defined used car market of Serbia. That construction is needed to be done through using proper Project Management tools and methods. The project is to be constructed upon previously defined business model, which should represent the best model for starting the used cars dealership business in Serbia. The thesis consists of the theoretical part which gives the overview of the main tools and techniques as also elements of Project Management which will be used as the most suitable for creating this kind of project. Besides that, it will also consist of describing the business model methodology and proposing the type of methodology which will be used. Practical part is continuation of the theoretical part and furthermore it gets profound into details regarding the Serbian used cars market, business environment as well possible import market, the picture of modeling the business is emerging. Considering all data gathered while conducting the analysis and constructing the business model, it is showed that there is a lot of space for market entrance and improvements. All of these elements contributed to choice of proper tools and methods for project construction. Even the current market situation is unstable and turbulent, development of the business model and proper defined project can justify the business opening with low initial investment.
