Sinjska alka - origin, evolution and problems of modernity

Abstract:

Práce nás seznamuje s charakteristikami rytířského turnaje nazvaného Sinjská alka, který se udržel do recentní doby téměř po tři století. Je považován za naprostý unikát. Na chorvatském území se konaly různé jiné, ale svým způsobem podobné turnaje, které se ovšem nedokázaly zachovat. Alkou se slaví vítězná bitva z roku 1715, kterou svedli stateční Sinjané s Turky. Toto vítězství se také pojí s legendou o Panně Marii Sinjské, která praví, že statečným obyvatelům pomohla vyhnat turecké obléhatele z města. Pokusili jsme se v práci nastínit různorodé informace o Sinjské alce. Uvádíme si některá literární díla, která jsou věnována danému tématu. Dále také nahlížíme na provázanost této hry s politikou. Věnujeme se její ochraně a v neposlední řádě se seznamujeme s historií a vznikem Sinsjké alky.

Abstract:

The work introduces the characteristics of a knight tournament named Sinjska Alka (Alka of Sinj), which is retained in the recent period of nearly three centuries. It is regarded as utterly unique. On Croatian territory there were held various others, but in a way similar to the tournament, which, however, failed to keep. Sinjska Alka is meant to celebrate victory of battle in 1715, when valiant Sinj people fighted the Turks. This victory is also associated with the legend of the Virgin Mary Sinjska (of Sinj), which says that this woman helped the brave people oust the Turkish siege of the city. We have tried to outline in bachelors work diverse information about Sinjska Alka. Here are some of the literary works that are devoted topic. We also look at the consistency of the game and with policy. We are dedicated to the protection and as well, the history and emergence of Sinsjka alka.
