Analysis of the body structure of Old Kladruby horses in the National Stud Kladruby nad Labem

Abstract:

Účelem práce bylo zjistit vliv řady faktorů na tělesnou stavbu starokladrubských koní a to jak se jejich tělesná stavba změnila s odstupem času. Měření koní bylo provedeno v létě 2020 v Národním hřebčíně Kladruby nad Labem. Celkem bylo změřeno 136 koní, jednalo se o 21 plemenných hřebců a 115 chovných klisen. Koně byli ve věku od 4 do 24 let. Bylo měřeno celkem 21 rozměrů, jako například: kohoutková výška hůlková, obvod hrudi a obvod přední holeně. Tyto rozměry byly statisticky vyhodnoceny analýzou ANOVA, a poté testovány Scheffeho testem. U něj byly analyzovány tyto efekty: varianta zbarvení (bělouš, vraník), pohlaví, věk, genealogická linie a příslušnost k oddílu plemenné knihy. Následně bylo vypočítáno 11 hipometrických indexů pro každého koně. Vyhodnocením výsledků analýz bylo zjištěno postupné zvyšování tělesného rámce a výrazné rozdíly především mezi pohlavími a barevnými variantami starokladrubského koně. Do budoucna je nejdůležitější udržení tělesného rámce v rozsahu jaký uvádí standart plemene.

Abstract:

The purpose of this work was to determine the influence of a number of factors on the body structure of Old Kladruby horses and how their body structure changed over time. There were 136 Old Kladruby horses (21 stallions and 115 mares) measured in summer 2020 in National Stud Kladruby nad Labem. The animals were from 4 to 24 years old. The 21 measurements were analysed for example: height at withers - stick measurement, chest girth, cannon bone circumference. The measurements were statistically analysed by ANOVA and after that by Scheffe test. Fixed effects included in the model were: colour variety (grey, black), sex, line, age and studbook section. After the analysis, 11 hipometric indexes were calculated for each horse. The results of the analyses revealed a gradual increase in the body frame and significant differences, especially between the sexes and colour variety of the Old Kladruby horse. In the future, the most important thing is to maintain the body frame to the extent specified by the breed standard.
