Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá historií dobývání českého granátu (pyropu), geologickou situací lokalit jeho výskytu, mineralogií a perspektivami dobývání v severozápadních Čechách. Práce zahrnuje obecnou charakteristiku přírodních poměrů oblasti, charakteristiku samotného pyropu, historické nálezy kamene a technologii jeho zpracování. Je zaměřena především na geologický a mineralogický popis vybraných lokalit Linhorka, Granátový vrch, Dřemčice a Chrášťany. V rámci mapování autorky byly tyto lokality zkoumány a posuzovány v oblasti perspektivy dobývání pyropu. Vedle terénních a mapovacích prací se vlastní výzkum soustředil na mineralogickou analýzu velkoobjemového vzorku zadního kaménku, získaného z úpravny Podsedice.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the history of mining of the Czech garnet (pyrope), the geological situation of its occurrences, the mineralogy and the prospects of mining in the northwest Bohemia. The thesis includes the general characteristics of the natural conditions of the area, the characteristics of the pyrope itself, the historical findings of the stone and the technology of its processing. It focuses primarily on the geological and mineralogical description of the selected localities Linhorka, Granátový vrch, Dřemčice and Chrášťany. As part of the author's mapping, these sites have been investigated and evaluated in the field of pyrophoric prospecting. In addition to field and mapping work, the research itself focused on the mineralogical analysis of the large-scale specimen of the "backstone" (zadní kamének), obtained from the plant in Podsedice.
