Pictorial dramaturgy of Stalker and Werckmeister's Harmonies

Abstract:

Práce popisuje narativní a kamerové postupy ve snímcích Stalker a Werckmeisterovy harmonie. Činí tak na příkladě několika konkrétních dvojic scén z obou filmů a na těchto příkladech představuje a analyzuje jednotlivé postupy. Práce také nabízí krátký vstup a představení analyzovaných snímků pro lepší pochopení čtenářem. Cílem práce je hlouběji porozumět pomalé obrazové dramaturgii jak u těchto konkrétních snímků, tak i u jiných. Závěrem práce nabízí podrobnou analýzu obrazové stránky snímků, podobností v obrazové dramaturgii a také zavedení a představení pojmu prozření filmového okénka.

Abstract:

The work describes narrative and visual approach in both the "Stalker" and the "Werckmeister's harmonies" movies. It is shown on the example of several pairs of scenes from both movies. These scenes are also used for analyzing narrative and visual approaches. The work includes short introduction to the analyzed movies for the better understanding of the whole text. The purpose of this work is to understand slow narrative dramaturgy in these two movies, but also in many others. The end of this work offers detailed analysis of the visual aspect in the mentioned films, similarities in visual dramaturgy and introduction of the term "film frame gaze".
