Abstract:

Stašková, Paulína. Analysis of Public Bathing in Choosen European Country. [Master’s Dissertation] The Institute of Hospitality Management. Prague: 2020. 79 pages. The Diploma Thesis deals with the topic of spa in a member country of the European Union, more specifically Hugarian Spa. The thesis is based on a hypothesis that the state´s interest in providing and funding spa is more significant in the Czech Republic than it is in Hungary. The primary goal is a detailed analysis of the spa and its current situation in Hungary and a consecutive comparison of the Hungarian spa with the condion of the Czech spa. In order to evaluate the hypothesis, emerges the necessity to provide a comparison in specific parameters and domains of spa in both countries. The thesis is divided into three integral parts. The first is devoted to theoretical determination of issues in the field of spa and the classification of natural healing sources. The consequential analytical part through PESTLE analysis of macroeconomic setting allows a better insight into the country´s operation and its current situation on the market. Through the medium of conversation with a prominent employee of the association of Hungarian spa cities and a member of the executive board „KumániaGyógyfürdö“ we gained more detailed information about the structure, legislative adjustments, spa management and marketing strategies in Hungary. Statistical data gathered in a period of five years offers an insight into the development of the visit rate of individual healing spas from the perspective of residents as well as foreign tourists. The overall analysis of the thesis is a SWOT analysis of Hungarian spa, its weaknesses and strengths, opportunities for improvement and issues that can threaten them. According to a subsequent comparison of the analysed country with the compared one we draw conclusions and advise to improve the current state which are projected into specific suggestions listed in the third part of the thesis.

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá témou kúpeľníctva v členskej krajine Európskej únie s konkretizáciou na Maďarské kúpeľníctvo. Práca vychádza z hypotézy, že zainteresovanosť štátu na poskytovaní a financovaní kúpeľnej starostlivosti je v Českej republike významnejšia ako v Maďarsku. Primárnym cieľom je podrobná analýza kúpeľníctva a jeho súčasnej situácie v Maďarsku a následné porovnanie so stavom kúpeľníctva v Českej republike. Aby mohlo dôjsť k vyhodnoteniu hypotézy, je nevyhnutná komparácia v stanovených parametroch a oblastiach kúpeľníctva v oboch krajinách. Práca je rozdelená do troch ucelených častí. Prvá je venovaná teoretickému vymedzeniu problematiky v oblasti kúpeľníctva a klasifikácii prírodných liečivých zdrojov. Na ňu nadväzujúca analytická časť prostredníctvom PESTLE analýzy makroekonomického prostredia krajiny umožňuje lepší náhľad do chodu krajiny a jej aktuálnej situácie na trhu. Prostredníctvom rozhovoru s popredným pracovníkom združenia maďarských kúpeľných miest a člennom predstavenstva „Kumánia Gyógyfürdö“, získavame podrobnejšie informácie o štruktúre, legislatívnej úprave, riadení kúpeľníctva a marketingových stratégiách v Maďarsku. Štatistické údaje zozbierané za obdobie 5 rokov nám ponúknu pohľad do vývoja návštevnosti jednotlivých liečebných kúpeľov, ako zo strany rezidentov, tak aj zahraničných turistov. Súhrnnou analýzou práce je spracovanie SWOT analýzy maďarského kúpeľníctva, jeho silných a slabých stránok, príležitostí pre rozvoj a hrozieb, ktorým môže byť vystavené. Následnou komparáciu analyzovanej krajiny s porovnávanou vyvodzujeme závery a odporúčania k zlepšeniu súčasného stavu, ktoré sú premietnuté do konkrétnych návrhov uvedených v tretej časti práce.
