The application of service design methods in an academic library

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá využitím metod designu služeb v Ústřední knihovně Filozofické fakulty Masarykovi univerzity. Hlavním cílem práce je identifikace konkrétního problému, se kterým se knihovna potýká v oblasti neformálního vzdělávání, a navržení změn v procesu za pomocí modelu Service Blueprint. Teoretická část práce je věnovaná myšlení, designu služeb a vybraným metodám a modelům s ohledem na design zaměřený na člověka. Práce poskytuje přínosný příklad aplikace designového myšlení a metod v praxi.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the application of service design methods in the Central Library of the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University. The main target of the thesis is to identify a specific problem that the library faces in the field of informal education and propose a change in the process using the Service Blueprint model. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on thinking, service design, selected methods and models focused on human-centered design. The work provides a useful example of applying design thinking and methods in practice.
