This diploma work deals with the literary genre "Bildungsroman" ("novel of education") in the works of Hermann Hesse. The first part is concerned with the characteristics of this genre. The second part follows with the detailed analysis of the first and the last Hermann Hesse's novels ("Peter Camenzind" and "Das Glasperlenspiel"). Tato diplomová práce se věnuje literárnímu žánru „Bildungsroman“ („vzdělávací román“) ve tvorbě Hermanna Hesse. První část se zabývá specifikací a vymezením charakteristických rysů tohoto žánru.
