Efficiency Increase of Hotel and Restaurant Facility

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářská práce bylo zkoumání zda je možné efektivitu hotelového a restauračního zařízení zvýšit bez masivních vstupů do reklamy a zda je možné toto zařízení pokládat za zákaznicky orientovanou organizaci, která je pevným základem pro zvyšování efektivity. Na základě těchto dvou primárních otázek byly stanoveny dvě hypotézy. H1: Resort Stein je možné pokládat za zákaznicky orientovanou organizaci. H2: Ekonomickou efektivitu hotelového zařízení s restauračním provozem lze zvýšit bez nutnosti investice masivních prostředků do reklamy. V části teoretické bylo popsáno prostředí českého hotelnictví a jeho historie. Pro účely zkoumání byla provedena situační analýza, která posuzuje dopady makro prostředí, odvětvového prostředí a porovnává auditované vlastní zdroje organizace s klíčovými faktory úspěchu v odvětví. Na základě zjištění pak byly identifikovány mezery, kterými se zabývá návrhová část. Jedná se o oblast komunikace směrem k zákazníkovi prostřednictvím public relations a dále kultivaci lidských zdrojů. Závěrem práce pak byly hypotézy vyhodnoceny jako relevantní s doporučenými zlepšeními.

Abstract:

The goal of this bachelors thesis was to investigate possibilities to increase efficiency of hotel and restaurant facility without massive funds going into commercial presentation and if it is also possible to consider this facility a customer oriented one, which is a backbone for efficiency increase. On the bases of these two preliminary questions hypothesis have been defined. H1: It is possible to consider Resort Stein as customer oriented organization. H2: It is possible to increase economic efficiency of hotel with a restaurant without a need for massive funding of commercial presentation. In the theoretical part the environment of the Czech hospitality industry and its history has been depicted. For the purpose of investigation a situation analysis has been provided, which is looking at the effects of the macro environment, industry environment and compares the audited resources of the organization with the defined industry key success factors. On the basis of this collation gaps have been identified, which are further discussed in the recommendations chapter. The areas identified as gaps are communication towards the customer via public relations activities and further cultivation of human resources. As a conclusion the hypothesis have been evaluated as relevant with recommended improvements.
