Analysis of supplier-customer system complexity in the specific company

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje kvantitativní analýze dodavatelsko-odběratelských vztahů ve společnosti EvoBus Česká republika s. r. o. Tato společnost je součástí nadnárodního koncernu Daimler a předmětem jejího podnikání je výroba segmentů pro karoserie autobusů. Představení firmy je věnován prostor v první kapitole, kde je popsána její současná pozice na trhu a charakterizován výrobní závod. Práce se také zabývá nákupní činností a dodavatelsko-odběratelskými vztahy, a to jak v rovině teoretické, tak praktické. Praktická část je zaměřena na nákupní aktivity, které v podniku vykonává nákupní oddělení, a dále na charakteristiku dodavatelsko-odběratelských vztahů v této společnosti. Následně práce uvádí teoretická východiska pro použití entropie k měření složitosti dodavatelsko-odběratelských vztahů. Tento aparát je v práci použit také v rovině praktické na reálných datech ze společnosti EvoBus. Analýza je zahájena vlastním sběrem příslušných dat z podnikatelského informačního systému. Poté jsou data zpracována v softwaru Mathematica a na základě výsledků analýzy je rozhodnuto o nejlepším dodavateli. Výstupy analýzy mohou být managementem firmy využity pro obchodní vyjednávání s dodavateli.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is aimed at analysis of supplier-customer system complexity in EvoBus Česká republika s. r. o. This company is the part of the multinational concern Daimler and produces segments used for bus body construction. The company is described in detail in the first chapter which defines company's current position on the market and characterizes its production plant. This thesis also deals with purchase and supplier-customer relationships in the theoretic part as well as in the practical section. Practical part is focused on purchasing activity of the purchase department and characterization of supplier-customer relationships in the company. Afterwards, the thesis provides theoretical background of entropy-based approach for the quantitative measurement. This approach is used for the analysis of supplier-customer system complexity in the practical area. This analysis started with own process of collecting appropriate data from the business informational system. After that, the data are processed in software Mathematica. On the basis of the results of the analysis the most reliable supplier is chosen. The results of the analysis could be used by management of the company for business negotiations with suppliers.
