Innovation in Spa Hotels

Abstract:

The Master´s thesis deals with the topic of Innovations in spa hotels. The aim of the work is to evaluate the innovations that spa hotels were forced to implement in connection with the global Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent treatment of the so-called post-covid syndrome through spa treatment and rehabilitation care. The work is divided into theoretical, analytical and design parts. Through the theoretical part, we will focus on the definition of key concepts and the characteristics of the issue, which will be addressed in more detail in the analytical part. As part of the analytical part, we will focus on collecting information using primary and secondary sources. We will look at the historical data of the spa treatment of the post-covid syndrome as well as the approach to the treatment itself and the procedures provided. Since at work we will also deal with equipment that remained in hotel operations after the pandemic, we will analyze the regulations of the chief hygienist. We will present model workplaces where the research took place. Based on the interviews, we will discuss the purchase of devices and equipment that the spa hotels were forced to acquire with the inclusion of post-covid syndrome treatment. Thanks to this knowledge, we will discuss the results of a questionnaire survey that took place in five spa locations. Based on the knowledge obtained from the research, whether during its own implementation in the field or evaluation of the results, we will focus in the design part on providing information and proposals. The purpose of the proposals in the work will be to point out possible improvements and the implementation of modern technologies. They will thus provide possible savings and room for streamlining marketing communication with spa patients, regardless of the payment method. The given proposals further reflect changes in preferences among age groups of customers and therefore offer interesting solutions to this fact. At the very end of the work, there will be a summary of knowledge, results achieved, experience gained, information obtained and also problems that occurred during the implementation.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá témou Inovácie v kúpeľných hoteloch. Cieľom práce je posúdenie inovácií, ktoré boli nútené kúpeľné hotely zaviesť v spojitosti so svetovou pandémiou Covid-19 a následným liečením takzvaného post-covid syndrómu prostredníctvom kúpeľnej liečebno-rehabilitačnej starostlivosti. Práca je rozčlenená na teoretickú, analytickú a návrhovú časť. Prostredníctvom teoretickej časti sa zameriame na vymedzenie kľučových pojmov a charakterizovanie problematiky, ktorú si bližšie rozoberieme v analytickej časti. V rámci analytickej časti sa zameriame na zber informácií pomocou primárnych a sekundárnych zdrojov. Pozrieme sa na historické údaje kúpeľnej liečby post-covidového syndrómu ako aj prístup k samotnej liečbe a poskytovaným procedúram. Pretože sa budeme v práci zaoberať aj zariadeniami, ktoré zostali v prevádzkach hotelov po pandémii, tak si rozoberieme nariadenia hlavného hygienika. Predstavíme si modelové pracoviská, v ktorých prebehol výskum. Na základe rozhovorov si rozoberieme nákup prístrojov a zariadení, ktoré boli kúpeľné hotely nútené obstarať so zaradením liečby post-covidového syndrómu. Vďaka týmto poznatkom si rozoberieme výsledky dotazníkového šetrenie, ktoré prebehlo v piatich kúpeľných miestach. Na základe získaných poznatkov z výskumu, či už pri jeho vlastnej realizácii v teréne alebo vyhodnocovania výsledkov, sa zameriame v návrhovej časti na poskytnutie informácií a návrhov. Zmyslom návrhov v práci bude poukázanie na možné zlepšenia a implementáciu novodobých technológií. Poskytnú teda možné úspory a priestor pre zefektívnenie marketingovej komunikácie s kúpeľnými pacientmi bez ohľadu na spôsob úhrady. Dané návrhy ďalej reflektujú zmeny preferencií u vekových skupín zákazníkov a teda ponúkajú zaujmavé riešenia pre túto skutočnosť. V samotnom závere práce bude zhrnutie poznatkov, dosiahnutých výsledkov, nadobudnutých skúseností, získaných informácií a taktiež vyskytnutých problémov v rámci realizácie.
