Properties of Photochromic Textiles

Abstract:

This research work is to analyze the physical, mechanical and optical properties photochromic materials. Therefore, the photochromic textile materials were produced with two different techniques, one is through mass coloration; second is through sol-gel coating. In the case of mass coloration, polypropylene (PP) multifilament's was produced with various concentration of photochromic pigments with different drawing ratio, majority of this study is focusing on the drawing ratio with respect to optical, physical and mechanical properties of multifilaments. In the sol gel coating on PET fabrics, different precursors were used to find the influence of precursor combination on the photochemical reaction, in these regards found some interesting effects called hypsochromic shifts

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na analýzu fyzikálních, mechanických a optických vlastností fotochromních materiálů. Pomocí dvou různých technik byly vyrobeny fotochromní textilní materiály. Jednou z nich bylo barvení ve hmotě; druhou byla technika zvaná sol-gel. V případě barvení ve hmotě byly vyrobeny multifilamenty polypropylenu (PP) s různou koncentrací fotochromních pigmentů s různým dloužícím poměrem. Většina této práce se zabývá vlivem různého dloužícího poměru na optické, fyzikální a mechanické vlastnosti multifilamentů. Na sol-gelem potažených polyesterových tkaninách byly použity různé prekurzory k nalezení vlivu kombinace prekurzorů na fotochemickou reakci. V tomto případě byly nalezeny zajímavé účinky nazývané hypsochromní posuny.
