Práce se v první části zaměřuje na koncept terroir, jeho výklad a interpretaci autory, kteří se zabývají danou tématikou. Jsou popsány zejména fyziologické faktory terroir, stěžejní pro Španělsko. Poté v další části definovány klimatické, geografické a půdní podmínky Pyrenejského poloostrova, které jsou esenciální pro projev terroir ve španělských vínech. Abstract:
The thesis in the first part focuses on the concept of terroir, its explanation and the interpretation of the authors who deal with the theme. There are described in particular terroir physiological factors as crucial for Spain.
