Abstract:

Využití Kaufmanovy hodnotící baterie pro děti K-ABC při diagnostickém hodnocení dětí s dyslexií Předkládaná práce ověřuje možnosti Kaufmanovy hodnotící baterie pro děti při diagnostice dětí s dyslexií. Kaufmanova hodnotící baterie pro děti (K-ABC) je alternativní technikou, která zjišťuje úroveň inteligence a výkonnosti. Vychází z neuropsychologické teorie, založené na poznatcích Luriji. Nezaměřuje se na obsah, ale na mentální proces, který je zapojen do řešení aktuálního problému. Rozlišuje dva typy mentálních procesů, sukcesivní/analytický a simultánní/holistický. Z výzkumů vyplývá, že nedostatky v sukcesivním typu zpracování mohou zapříčiňovat specifické dyslektické projevy. Zaměření testu na detailní posouzení kognitivního fungování jedince, na jeho silné a slabé stránky, otevírá prostor pro zacílenou nápravu nedostatků i plné využití objevených potencionalit. Zatímco v anglicky mluvících zemích se jedná o rozšířenou metodu užívanou v diagnostice dyslexie, její užití v českém prostředí je zatím omezené.

Abstract:

Utilization of Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children in diagnostic assessment of children with dyslexia This thesis proves the possibilities of Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children in diagnostic assessment of children with dyslexia. Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children (K-ABC) is an alternative technique of intelligence and performance detection. The model is based on Luria´s neuropsychological theory of brain functioning. The technique is not focused on the content, but on the mental process, which is involved in the actual problem solving. There are two types of mental processes, the successive/analytical process and the simultaneous/holistic process. Research studies show that deficiencies in the successive type of mental process can cause specific dyslexic manifestations. The test specification on detailed detection of cognitive functioning of an individual, on his strong points and weak points, opens a space for specialized correction of deficiencies and also full utilization of detected potentialities. While in the English speaking countries this method is in common use in dyslexia diagnosis, its use in the Czech setting is marginal so far.
