Issues of Human Rights and Democracy from the Global Perspective of Continuity and Discontinuity

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce řeší otázky problému lidských práv a demokracie z globálního pohledu kontinuity a diskontinuity. Cílem bylo proniknout a vysvětlit danou problematiku lidských práv a svobod v současné demokracii z pohledu kontinuity a diskontinuity. K naplnění cíle byla stanovena hypotéza rozevírání nůžek globálního bohatství a globální bídy (jakožto faktoru s negativním dopadem na dodržování lidských práv). Při studiu a zkoumání lidských práv a demokracie byly využity vědecké metody analýzy, deskripce, komparace a metody indukce a dedukce. Výsledkem zkoumání z pohledu teorie i reality dnešního světa je zjištění a následné potvrzení hypotézy, že na základě globalizace a rozevírání nůžek mezi bohatými a chudými dochází v některých částech světa k porušování lidských práv. Závěr práce dále ukazuje, že i přes velkou snahu universalismu lidských práv jednotlivé části světa nadále používají svůj výklad lidských práv, který z našeho pohledu se jeví jako jejich porušování.

Abstract:

This thesis solves the issues of human rights and democracy from the global perspective of continuity and discontinuity. The aim was to penetrate and explain the issue of human rights and freedoms in contemporary democracy from the perspective of continuity and discontinuity. To achieve this, the hypothesis of opening up the scissors of global wealth and global poverty (as a factor with a negative impact on respect for human rights) was set. Scientific methods of analysis, description, comparison and induction and deduction methods were used to study and explore human rights and democracy. The result of the examination from the point of view of both theory and reality of today's world is the finding and subsequent confirmation of the hypothesis that human rights violations occur in some parts of the world due to globalization and the opening of scissors between rich and poor. The conclusion of the thesis also shows that, despite the great effort of universalism of human rights, individual parts of the world continue to use their interpretation of human rights, which in our view seems to be a violation.
