The Adaptation Process Through the Eyes of the Organization's Staff

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práce se zaměřuje na proces adaptace nových zaměstnanců v konkrétním podniku. Tato práce je rozdělena na dvě části: teoretickou a empirickou. Teoretická část obsahuje dvě kapitoly. První kapitola představuje problematiku řízení lidských zdrojů v organizaci. Část z této kapitoly charakterizuje organizační kulturu a pojednává o jejích souvislostech s hlavním tématem. Druhá kapitola je věnována hlavnímu tématu práce, tedy období začleňování a zapracování nových zaměstnanců. V jejím rámci jsou představeny podstatné procesy tohoto období, jimiž jsou přijímání, orientace a adaptace. Empirická část nejprve seznamuje se základními informacemi o podniku, v němž byl výzkum realizován. Poté prezentuje výzkumnou metodologii a následně jsou interpretovány výsledky výzkumného šetření. Cílem realizovaného výzkumu bylo zjistit, jakým způsobem vnímají adaptaci v podniku noví zaměstnanci v provozních odděleních a na základě výpovědí respondentů navrhnout doporučení ke zlepšení stávajícího procesu adaptace.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on the process of adaptation of new employees in a particular company. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and empirical. The theoretical part contains two chapters. The first chapter introduces the issue of human resources management in the organization. One section of it deals with the organizational culture and its relation to the main topic. The second chapter is dedicated to the main theme of the work - integration and training of new employees including their recruitment, orientation and adaptation. The empirical part introduces the basic information about the company where the research has been carried out and subsequently interprets results of the research. The aim of this study was to determine how new employees of operating units perceive their adaptations to the company and to recommend particular improvements of adaptations resulting from the respondents’ testimonies.
