Composites Prepared from Synthetic Polymers with Natural Fibres

Abstract:

Abstrakt: V první části mé bakalářské práce jsem nastudoval a následně sepsal rešerši kom-pozitních materiálů, z hlediska jejich struktury, matričních složek a vláken, které jsou ob-saženy v těchto materiálech. Kombinací jejich vlastností, dosahující výborných chemických a fyzikálních vlastností, jako je houževnatost, odolnost vůči chemikáliím či pevnost v tahu, dávají kompozitům nenahraditelnou úlohu v aplikacích, kde potřebujeme velkou pevnost, ale zároveň je nezbytné eliminovat velkou hmotnost existujících alternativních materiálů. V další části mé práce jsem se zaměřil na prostudování moderních trendů, týkajících se vývoje a popisu klíčových charakteristik biopolymerů, z nichž některé vykazují vlastnosti řízené biodegradace, což je pro lidstvo příslibem do budoucna, že naše planeta nebude jen jedno velké smetiště pomalu rozpadajících se produktů ze syntetických polymerů. Závěrečná kapitola mé práce je věnována sloučeninám syntetických polymerů s přírodními vlákny, kde jsem na vybraných zástupcích popsal jejich specifické vlastnosti a možnosti uplatnění.

Abstract:

Abstract: First part of my thesis is dedicated to conclusion of my study which has been fo-cused on composite materials with respect on their structure, properties, including a key characteristics, classification and way of their possible application. The combination of their characteristics which are achieving excellent chemical and physical properties such as toughness, chemical resistance and tensile strength, provide composites irreplaceable role in applications where has to be applied a high strength, but also it is necessary to take into account fact that composites are the key materials bringing significant weight decrease in applications. In the next part of my thesis I focused on the study of modern trends related to the development of biopolymers with intention to find more information linked to the controlled biodegradation. I hope that it could be a promise for the future of humanity and Earth will not be just one big junkyard with slowly disintegrating products of synthetic polymers. Last chapter is devoted to compounds of synthetic polymers with natural fibers, including specific characteristics of their applications.
