Nursing Process in Care of Patient after Total Hip Replacement

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the nursing process in patients after total hip replacement. The concept of hip replacement is nowadays very famous and gets to the fore. It is a surgical method for treating diseases of the joints. Nurse as a caregiver should focus on the issues and provide the patient always best opportunity to deal with the concrete situations. The aim of this thesis is to create the schematic plan of nursing care, based on nursing diagnoses NANDA-International Taxonomy II., which relates to the particular needs of the patient after total hip replacement. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical section contains two chapters. The first chapter deals with the characteristics of hip joint, history, but also points out the indications and contraindications of total hip replacement. The second chapter is focused on detailed nursing care for the patient during the intraoperative period, as well as rehabilitation, which is an integral part of patient?s recovery. The practical part is elaborated nursing process of particular patient after total hip replacement, which is based on a set of nursing diagnoses according to NANDA-International Taxonomy II., covering the individual needs of patient with specific diagnosis. The practical part is devoted to nursing care of patient during thirteen days of hospitalization at the Department of Orthopaedics, from reception to his release. According to nursing diagnosis based on NANDA-International Taxonomy II., were established eleven nursing diagnosis. In these diagnoses they were defined objectives and specific nursing interventions, and subsequently has been described implementation and ongoing evaluation of nursing care. During hospitalization were diagnoses step by step terminated, and the patient was discharged to home care.

Abstract:

Predložená bakalárska práca je zameraná na ošetrovateľský proces u pacienta po totálnej endoprotéze bedrového kĺbu. Pojem TEP je v dnešnej dobe veľmi známy. Je to chirurgická metóda liečby ochorenia kĺbov. Sestra ako ošetrujúci personál by sa mala v danej problematike orientovať a poskytnúť pacientovi vždy najvhodnejší spôsob riešenia. Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce je vytvorenie názorného plánu ošetrovateľskej starostlivosti vychádzajúceho z ošetrovateľských diagnóz NANDA-International Taxonómie II., ktoré sa vzťahujú ku konkrétnym potrebám pacienta po TEP bedrového kĺbu. Práca je rozdelená na teoretickú a praktickú časť. Teoretická čas obsahuje 2 kapitoly. Prvá kapitola sa venuje charakteristike protéz bedrového kĺbu, histórii a poukazuje na indikácie, kontraindikácie. Druhá kapitola je detailnejšie zameraná na ošetrovateľskú starostlivosť o pacienta počas intraoperačného obdobia a rehabilitácie, ktorá je neoddeliteľnou súčasťou rekonvalescencie. V praktickej časti je vypracovaný ošetrovateľský proces u konkrétneho pacienta po totálnej endoprotéze bedrového kĺbu, ktorý vychádza zo stanovených ošetrovateľských diagnóz podľa NANDA-International Taxonómie II., vzťahujúci sa k potrebám jedinca s danou diagnózou. Praktická časť je venovaná ošetrovateľskej starostlivosti o pacienta počas obdobia hospitalizácie na oddelení ortopédie od príjmu po jeho prepustenie. Na základe ošetrovateľskej diagnostiky podľa NANDA-International Taxonómie II. bolo u pacienta stanovených 11 ošetrovateľských diagnóz. U týchto diagnóz boli vymedzené konkrétne ošetrovateľské ciele a intervencie, následne bola popísaná realizácia a priebežné hodnotenie ošetrovateľskej starostlivosti. V priebehu hospitalizácie boli diagnózy postupne ukončené a následne bol pacient prepustený do domácej starostlivosti.
