Abstract:

Vývoj ikonografického zobrazení Ignáce z Loyoly a Františka Xaverského v barokní skulptuře se začal vyvíjet větší měrou po roce 1680, kdy na naše území dorazila prvni velká morová vlna. Po této události vznikaly mnohé morové sloupy a poutní místa především díky zásluze jezuitů s propagací jejich dvou nejdůležitějších světců.Druhá morová vlna příchozi na Moravu v roce 1713-15, ještě navýšila nárůst morových památek a měla tak velký vliv na rozvoj kultu sv. Františka Xaverského.Z tohoto období se nám zachovalo nejvíce skulptur, protože po druhé půlce 18. století kult sv. FX, už začal upadat. Barokní skulptura na územi Moravy je ojedinělou složkou sochařstvi na poli střední Evropy, dokazuje to nejenom kvalitním provedením, ale také krásou, kterou působí na člověka i dnes

Abstract:

The development of the iconographical depiction of the St. Ignatius of Loyola and St. Francis Xavier in the baroque sculpture begann to evolve noticeably after the year 1680, when our area was befallen by the first massive plague wave. After this event there were created more plague columns and pilgrim sites firstly thanks to the credits of the Jesuits with their promotion of their most important saints. The second plague wave came to Moravia in the years 1713 ? 1715, which even increased the forming of new plague monuments, accomplished so a great development of the St. Francis Xavier cult. From this era there are the most of the sculptures preserved, because after the second half of the 18th century, the St. Francis Xavier?s cult started to deteriate. The declension was a consequence of the dissolution of the hagiarchy in 1773. The baroque sculpture in the Moravia region is a unique segment in the field of Central Europe sculpture. It proves this fact not only by being very precise implementation, but also by its beauty, which impress the human kind even today
