Comparison of mortgage tax incentives in OECD countries.

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce „Daňová úleva hypoték. Srovnání přístupů.“ je srovnání přístupů k daňovým úlevám hypoték mezi vybranými zeměmi OECD. První část je zaměřena na deskripci bytové politiky, jejich nástrojů a přístupu České republiky k daňové úlevě hypoték. Druhá část se věnuje rešerši relevantních studií a jejich kategorizaci. Třetí a čtvrtá část popisuje přístupy k daňové úlevě hypoték v jednotlivých zemích. Součástí čtvrté části také je srovnání přístupů na základě nadefinovaných parametrů. Na základě srovnání těchto parametrů jsem došel k závěru, že se přístupy k daňové úlevě hypoték mezi vybranými zeměmi značně liší.

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis: “Mortgage interest deduction. Comparison of approaches.” is comparison of approaches to mortgage interest deduction between selected countries of OECD. The first part is concentrated on description of housing policy and housing policy instruments. It also includes description of approach to mortgage interest deduction in Czech Republic. The second part is focused on research of literature about mortgage interest deduction and classification of frequently addressed topics. The third and the fourth part consist of description of approaches to mortgage interest deduction in individual countries and comparison of predefined parameters. I came to conclusion that approaches to mortgage interest deduction differ considerably between selected countries.
