Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zkoumání altruismu a duševního zdraví. V rámci teoretické části je na duševní zdraví nahlíženo z oblasti pozitivní psychologie a zabývá se teoretickými přístupy E. Dienera, M. Seligmana, C. Ryffové a C. Keyese. Ústředním tématem práce je altruismus, který je nahlížen v souvislosti s morálkou, empatickou a sociální inteligencí. Dále se věnujeme rozboru jednotlivých teoretických přístupů k altruismu. V závěru teoretické části se věnujeme vztahu altruismu a zdraví. Hlavním cílem empirické části bylo provedení hloubkové analýzy altruismu na vzorku populace České republiky. Pro ucelení poznatků byl zjišťován vztah mezi altruismem, optimálním prospíváním a některými demografickými proměnnými (náboženské vyznání; dobrovolnictví). Výzkumný soubor sestával z 223 respondentů. Výsledky kvalitativní části výzkumu byly získány pomocí obsahové analýzy. Pro zjištění vztahů mezi výše uvedenými proměnnými bylo užito korelační analýzy. Výsledky vyšly statisticky významně. V diskuzi byly výsledky této práce porovnány se závěry studie zkoumající altruismus u vzorku italské a indické populace.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on relation between altruism and mental health. Specifically, mental health is viewed from the area of positive psychology and deals with theoretical approaches of E. Diener, M. Seligman, C. Ryff and C. Keyes. The main topic is altruism, which is seen in relation with morality, empathic and social intelligence. Furthermore, the theoretical approaches to altruism are described. Relation between altruism and health are investigated at the end of the theoretical part. The main goal of the empirical part was an in-depth analysis of altruism on a sample of population of the Czech Republic. Moreover, relation among altruism, flourishing and some of the demographic variables (denomination; volunteering) were investigated. The research sample included 223 participants. The results of the qualitative part were obtained by content analysis. Correlation analysis was used for findings of relations among variables. The results came out statistically significant. Finally, the results from this work were compared with the results of research which investigated samples of Indian and Italian population.
