Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se cíleně zaměřuje na manažery, způsoby vedení a emoční inteligenci a její využívání jako významného nástroje ve vedení lidí, respektive týmů. Zaměřuje se také na vybrané možnosti měření emoční inteligence. V praktické části jsme představili výzkumný soubor a způsob šetření. Dílčím cílem bylo zmapování osobnostních charakteristik vybraných manažerů. Práce si neklade za cíl určit, zda emoční inteligence je prediktorem úspěšného lídra, ale poukázat na fakt, že tento rys osobnosti může být významný. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, nakolik mají manažeři rozvinutou emoční inteligenci a zda se tato skutečnost projevuje v korelaci se sociální inteligencí zkoumanou pomocí NEO pětifaktorového inventáře. Šetření přineslo zjištění, že vysoká emoční inteligence u manažerů nemusí do jisté míry predikovat vyšší sociální inteligenci, přičemž výsledky manažerů mohl ovlivnit počet podřízených.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on managers, ways of leadership and emotional intelligence and its use as an important tool in the management of people or teams. It is also focused on the options selected for measuring emotional intelligence. In the practical part the researched group and the method of investigation are presented. A sub-aim of the thesis was to chart the personality characteristics of selected managers. The thesis does not aim to determine whether emotional intelligence is a predictor of a successful leader, but to highlight the fact that this personality trait can be significant. The main aim of the thesis was to determinate to what extent the emotional intelligence of a manager is developed and whether this fact is reflected in correlation with social intelligence investigated using the NEO inventory method. The survey showed that high emotional intelligence of a manager does not necessarily ensure to higher social intelligence, where the results could be influenced by the number of subordinates.
