Increasing of financial literacy of socially disadvantaged citizens

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce „Zvyšování finanční gramotnosti sociálně slabých občanů“ je analýza a zhodnocení současných metod a postupů ke zvyšování finanční gramotnosti sociálně slabých občanů v České republice. První kapitola prezentuje různé definice finanční gramotnosti, problematiku finančního vzdělávání a řeší úroveň finanční gramotnosti sociálně slabých občanů. Ve druhé kapitole je pojednáno o různých výkladech pojmu sociální slabost. Závěrečná kapitola se dotýká problematiky specifické skupiny sociálně slabých, dětí z dětských domovů, se zaměřením na jejich finanční vzdělávání. Podstatnou částí je analýza workshopu finanční gramotnosti, který proběhl 20. března 2014 v brněnském Dětském domově Dagmar v rámci projektu „Zvyšování finanční gramotnosti sociálně slabých obyvatel ČR“.

Abstract:

The subject of the bachelor thesis „Improving of financial literacy of socially disadvantaged citizens“ is analysis and evaluation of current methods and procedures of improving financial literacy of socially disadvantaged citizens in the Czech Republic. The first chapter presents different definitions of financial literacy and financial education, and the level of financial literacy of socially disadvantaged citizens is also dealt with here. In the second chapter possible meanings of the term social disadvantage are discussed. The final chapter deals a specific group of socially disadvantaged, children from children’s homes, with a focus on their financial education. Main emphasis is put on an analysis of a financial literacy workshop which took place on March 20th in the Dagmar Children’s Home in Brno as a part of the project “Improving financial literacy of socially disadvantaged citizens of the Czech Republic“.
