Long-term unemployment in EU countries

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Dlouhodobá nezaměstnanost v zemích EU“ si klade za cíl zhodnotit aplikovatelnost konceptu flexicurity při řešení problému dlouhodobé nezaměstnanosti, jenž je v současnosti jedním z hlavních fenoménů ekonomiky EU. Jádrem práce je zhodnocení efektivity konceptu. To je založeno na analýze jednotlivých prvků konceptu na úrovni identifikovaných rizikových skupin pracovníků, které jsou dlouhodobou nezaměstnaností nejvíce ohroženy. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První kapitola teoreticky vymezuje nezaměstnanost. Ve druhé kapitole je představena aktuální situace týkající se dlouhodobé nezaměstnanosti v zemích EU. Na třetí kapitolu, která stručně seznamuje s principy konceptu flexicurity, navazuje kapitola poslední, jenž představuje analýzu jeho efektivity při řešení problému dlouhodobé nezaměstnanosti.

Abstract:

The thesis „Long-term Unemployment in EU Countries“ aims to evaluate the feasibility of the flexicurity concept in solving the problem of long-term unemployment, one of the main phenomena of the current EU economy. The core of the thesis is the evaluation of the flexicurity concept effectiveness. This is based on an analysis of individual concept elements while examining employees at risk, who are considered to be threatened with long-term unemployment the most. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part defines unemployment theoretically. The second part describes the current situation of the long-term unemployment in EU countries. Part number three presents in brief the principles of the flexicurity concept and is followed directly by the last part where the thesis presents the analysis of the concept effectiveness in dealing with the long-term unemployment.
