Water-borne self-crosslinking polymer dispersions for building facade application

Abstract:

V této bakalářské práci je zpracována literární rešerše v souvislosti se zadaným tématem. Pozornost je zde kladena na základní rozdělení fasádních nátěrových hmot, přípravu vodou ředitelných disperzí pomocí emulzní polymerace a možnosti vnitřního a vnějšího síťování. V experimentální části je popsána příprava dvou sérií samosíťujících disperzí, kde v jedné byl kopolymerován methylmethakrylát a v druhé styren. U disperzí byly hodnoceny základní vlastnosti ? sušina, pH, viskozita, vodivost, velikost částic, zeta potenciál a minimální filmotvorná teplota. Z disperzí byly také vytvořeny nátěrové filmy, u kterých byla sledována chemická odolnost, citlivost vůči působení vody a antimikrobiální vlastnosti. Byla hodnocena změna vlastností nátěrových filmů po přídavku nanočástic ZnO, pyrithionu zinečnatého a pre-koalescenčního síťování allylmethakrylátem.

Abstract:

In this bachelor thesis, a literal research in connection with the given topic has been processed including a systematic division of facade coatings, the synthesis of waterborne dispersions by emulsion polymerization and methods of inter- and intra-particle crosslinking. In the experimental part, a preparation of two series of water-borne dispersions has been described. The first series was based on methyl methacrylate copolymer whereas in the second series styrene was copolymerized. Basic properties of the prepared latexes, such as solids content, pH, viscosity, particle size and zeta potential, minimum film forming temperature were evaluated. Coating films were cast from the latexes to monitor chemical resistance, sensitivity to water and antimicrobial properties. A change of properties of coating films after the addition of ZnO nanoparticles, zinc pyrithione and pre-coalescence crosslinking with allyl methacrylate was evaluated.
