Anotácia:

Diplomová práce „Methods in Interpreter Training: A Survey of the Czech republic“ se zabývá současnými metodami a přístupy ve výuce tlumočení v České republice. V teoretické části práce stručně popisuje historii tlumočnické profese a vývoj pedagogických přístupů k výuce tlumočení. Praktická část práce popisuje dotazníkové šetření, které bylo provedeno mezi vyučujícími tlumočení v České republice, a jeho výsledky. Účelem šetření bylo a) zjistit jaké jsou hlavní přístupy a metody využíváné ve výuce tlumočení v České republice, b) zjistit jaké strategie a dovednosti vyučující aktivně se studenty trénují, c) zjistit pro jaké oblasti by si vyučující přáli mít didaktické materiály, d) vytvořit didaktický materiál na základě výsledků dotazníku. Poslední část práce představuje čtyři didaktická cvičení, vytvořená na základě odpovědí respondentů.

Abstract:

The present diploma thesis set to explore the current trends and methods in interpreter training in the Czech republic. Its theoretical part briefly describes the history of the interpreting profession and developments in interpreter pedagogy. The practical part describes a questionnaire survey conducted among interpreter trainers in the Czech republic and its results. The aim of the survey was to a) discover what are the main methods and approaches in interpreter training in the Czech republic, b) discover what strategies and skills are actively trained by trainers, c) discover what are some areas for which trainers desire didactic material, d) present didactic material based on the results. The last part of the thesis introduces four didactic activities created in response to participants' wishes.
