Bakalářská práce představuje dřevořezové ilustrace knihy Welmi piekna nowa Kronika, vydané Janem Šmerhovským roku 1519. Ilustrace i text vychází z Ein gar schöne newe Histori, vydané Kasparem Hochfederem roku 1499. Histori zpracovává první román Giovanniho Boccaccia s názvem Il Filocolo, ilustrace příběhů vytvořil tzv. Mistr legendy o sv. Meinradu v Norimberku. Práce pátrá po původu Mistra legendy …more
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis introduces woodcut illustrations of the book Welmi piekna nowa Kronika printed by Jan Šmerhovský in 1519. This book is based on Ein gar schöne newe Histori issued by Kaspar Hochefeder in 1519. Hochfeder’s book modifies Giovanni Boccaccio’s first novel Il Filocolo. Woodcut illustrations are said to be made by the Master of the legend of St. Meinrad in Nuremberg and this thesis tries …more
