Abstract:
Cílem diplomové práce je zachytit vliv akulturačních a globalizačních procesů na domorodé obyvatelstvo USA. Popsán je kulturní konflikt mezi majoritní a minoritní kulturou (akulturace, kolonialismus, šíření technologií, šíření nemocí, současné postaveni domorodého obyvatel-stva ad.). Na přikladě lidu Ponca jsou popsané výhody a nevýhody akul-turačních vlivů euroamerické civilizace.
