Corporate Volunteering in a Selected Company Practice

Abstract:

Tématem mé práce je firemní dobrovolnictví ve firemní praxi vybrané firmy. Dobrovolnictví, kde se propojuje komerční a neziskový sektor, je v ČR poměrně nový typ dobročinnosti. Mým cílem tedy je, v teoretické části, firemní dobrovolnictví vymezit, charakterizovat jednotlivé typy a oblasti pomoci. Dále se zabývám firemním dobrovolnictvím i z pohledu neziskových organizací, které mají vliv na šíření povědomí a rostoucí zájem firem o tuto aktivitu. Považuji také za důležité seznámit čtenáře se zaváděním firemního dobrovolnictví ve firmě. Záměrem je tedy poskytnout ucelený pohled na firemní dobrovolnictví. Cílem praktické části je analýza současného stavu firemního dobrovolnictví ve vybraných firmách v bankovním sektoru. Prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření zjišťuji povědomí a zájem o firemní dobrovolnictví zaměstnanců Komerční banky, a.s. Získané výsledky poslouží jako východisko pro vlastní návrhy a doporučení v podnikové praxi. V závěrečné kapitole shrnuji přínos tvorby diplomové práce, jímž je především skutečnost, že bude sloužit jako nástroj pro nastartování firemního dobrovolnictví v Komerční bance, a.s.

Abstract:

The topic of my thesis is corporate volunteering in the company practice of a selected company. Volunteering, which connects the commercial and non-profit sectors, is a fairly new type of charity in the Czech Republic. Therefore, my goal in the theoretical part is to define and characterize the types and areas of help. I also deal with corporate volunteering from the perspective of non-profit organizations that have an impact on overall awareness and growing interest of companies in this type of activity. I consider it important to acquaint the reader with the process of introducing corporate volunteering in a company as well. Thus, the intention of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive view of corporate volunteering. The goal of te practical part is an analysis of the current state of corporate volunteering in selected companies in the banking sector. Through a questionnaire survey, I find out about the awareness and interest of the employees of Komerční Banka, a.s. The results serve as a basis for my own suggestions and recommendations in business practice. The final chapter summarizes the benefits of the thesis, mainly the fact that it will serve as a tool for starting corporate volunteering in Komerční banka, a.s.
