Influence of Shape and Type of Insert on Joint Strength in Composite Parts

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je otestovat různé způsoby spojení kompozitních výrobků za pomoci spojovacích prvků zvané inserty. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na obecný popis kompozitních materiálů, jejich vlastností a technologií, jimiž jsou kompozitní materiály vy-ráběny. Je zde také popsána problematika insertů. V praktické části jsou uvedeny postupy při výrobě zkušebních těles pro tento experiment. Dále je uveden záznam výsledků z průběhu statických tahových zkoušek. Závěrem jsou tyto výsledky zkoušek vyhodnoceny a porovnány.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to test different ways of joining composite materials using connecting elements so called inserts. The theoretical part is focused on general description of composite materials, their properties and technological ways that composite materials are made of. The issue of inserts is also described here. In the practical part there are mentioned procedures during production of test samples for this experiment. Next is a record of the results of the static tensile tests. In the final part these test results are evaluated and compared.
