Sankt Petersburg in Russian literature

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the theory of the space of the city of St. Petersburg in selected works by Russian writers. It examines the influence of St. Petersburg on the authors and their works, the occurrence of the city in the works, and its influence on the characters and characteristics of the work itself. The aim of the work is to approach the topic of space in a work of different characters. The first part of the thesis clarifies the general theory of space, the second part deals directly with selected authors and their connection with St. Petersburg. The main idea is to point out St. Petersburg as one of the capitals of literature, its occurrence in many Russian works, and the difference in the perception of the same space.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá teorií prostoru města Petrohrad ve vybraných dílech ruských spisovatelů. Zkoumá vliv Petrohradu na autory a jejich díla, výskyt města v dílech a jeho vliv na postavy a charakteristiku samotného díla. Cílem práce je přiblížení tématiky prostoru města v dílech odlišného charakteru. V první části práce je objasněna obecná teorie prostoru, druhá část se věnuje přímo vybraným autorům a jejich spojitosti s Petrohradem. Hlavní myšlenkou je poukázat na Petrohrad jako na jedno z hlavních měst literatury, jeho výskyt v mnoha ruských dílech a rozdílnost vnímání téhož prostoru.
