Regional Political Parties in Central and Eastern Europe - Comparison

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je komparace vybraných regionálních politických stran ve středovýchodní Evropě. Výchozím bodem je teoretická část práce, která se zabývá vysvětlením pojmů politická strana, vznik konfliktních linií, stranická rodina a v neposlední řadě se věnuje pojmu regionální strana. K výchozímu bodu týkajícího se pojmu stranických rodin je využito typologie německého politologa Klause von Beymeho. Hlavním tématem komparace je poukázání na problematiku etnicko-regionálních politických stran vzhledem k procentuálnímu zastoupení dané národnosti v zemi, která je hlavním volícím článkem etnicko-regionální strany. V návaznosti na stěžejní obsah práce se následující část věnuje rozboru volebních výsledků na parlamentní i regionální úrovni, a dále volebnímu systému, který, jak práce ukazuje, je důležitý pro úspěšnost stran pro aktivní participaci na politické scéně. Výsledkem práce je poukázání na rozdílnost politického vývoje uvedených regionálních stran, které existují ve stejném regionu ? ve středovýchodní Evropě.

Abstract:

The main topic of the bachelor thesis is a comparison of selected regional political parties in Middle - Eastern Europe. The starting point of the thesis is its theoretical part which deals with the definitions of the main terms, such as political party, cleavages, "familles spirituelles", and consequently, regional political party. The part focusing on families elaborates on the typology of German political scientist Klaus von Beyme. The leading topic of the comparison is pointing at the ethnic-regional parties in relation to the proportional representation of the selected nationality in the selected country which is the main electorate of such parties. In succession to the part of the thesis, the subsequent part analyses the election results at both levels regional and parliamentary. It also focuses on the voting system in the selected countries which, as the result shows, is essential for successful and active party participation at the political scene. The results of the thesis highlight the difference in the development of the parties which come from the same region ? Middle Eastern Europe.
