Antimicrobial effect of modified textile and cellulosic materials

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá testováním antimikrobiálního účinku textilních a celulózových materiálů na vybrané druhy bakterií a plísní. První část práce je věnována obvazovým materiálům, obsahujícím potencionálně účinné biocidy proti bakteriím, které jsou izolovány z kožních ran. Biocidní působení daných obvazových materiálů na vybrané bakterie bylo testováno difuzní a suspenzní metodou. Tato část diplomové práce byla realizována v rámci projektu TAČR ve spolupráci s firmou Holzbecher, spol s r.o. barevna a bělidlo Zlíč (divize Medical). Druhá část práce se zabývá antifungálními účinky celulózových obalových materiálů na ovoce a zeleninu, které zabraňují růstu plísní, vyskytujících se na těchto potravinách. Celulózové vzorky s přidanými biocidy byly testovány modifikací norem ČSN EN ISO 20743, ISO 22196 a JIS Z 2801. Vzorky s prokazatelným antifungálním působením byly testovány na reálných vzorcích rajčat.

Abstract:

This work deals with testing antimicrobial effect of textile and cellulosic materials with selected species of bacteria and fungi. The first part is devoted to dressings containing potentially effective biocide against bacteria that are isolated from some skin wounds. The biocidal effect of the dressings on the selected bacteria was tested by the agar diffusion test and the suspension method. This part of diploma thesis was carried out under the project TAČR in cooperation with Holzbecher, Ltd., Bleaching & Dyeing Plant in Zlíč (division of Medical). The second part deals with the antifungal effects of cellulose packaging for fruits and vegetables that prevent the growth of mold present on these foods. The cellulose samples with added biocides were tested modifications to ČSN EN ISO 20743, ISO 22196 and JIS Z 2801. The samples with provable antifungal effects were tested on real samples of tomatoes.
