Application of fundamental analysis methods in selected blue chips

Abstract:

Diplomová práce ÚSPĚŠNOST VYBRANÝCH METOD FUNDAMENTÁLNÍ ANALÝZY NA VZORKU AKCIÍ se zabývá analýzou a komparací vybraných metod firemní fundamentální analýzy na vzorku akcií, jež reprezentují akciové tituly kótované na pražské, londýnské a newyorské burze cenných papírů. Teoretická část práce se zabývá vymezením používaných metod, které jsou v praktické části použity při oceňování vnitřní hodnoty analyzovaných akciových titulů a v závěru jsou stanoveny investiční doporučení. Akciové tituly z pražské burzy reprezentují Komerční banka, Philip Morris ČR a Telefónica CR, londýnskou burzu reprezentují HSBC, British American Tobacco a Vodafone, a zástupci newyorské burzy jsou Citigroup, Altria Group a Verizon. V závěru je shrnuto zhodnocení úspěšnosti vybraných metod u všech akciových titulů.

Abstract:

This dissertation titled APPLICATION OF FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS METHODS IN SELECTED BLUE CHIPS relates to the analysis and comparison of selected methods of corporate fundamental analysis on a sample of blue chip stocks that represent equities listed on the Prague, London and New York stock exchanges. The theoretical part of this dissertation defines methods used in the practical part: these are used in assessing the intrinsic value of blue chip stocks analysed. This is concluded by investment recommendations. Blue chip equities of the Prague Stock Exchange are represented by Komerční banka, Philip Morris ČR and Telefónica CR. The London Stock Exchange is represented by HSBC, British American Tobacco and Vodafone. The representatives of the New York Stock Exchange are Citigroup, Altria Group and Verizon. The conclusion summarises the evaluation of the success of selected methods for all blue chips.
