Stalin's deportations from Crimea

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou kolektivních deportací obyvatel Krymu ve 40. letech 20. století. Teoretická část práce vymezuje pojem totalitní stát a jeho znaky. Vymezuje kolektivní deportace obyvatel jako jednu z forem represí. V další kapitole je popsán vznik Krymské autonomní sovětské republiky a její fungování v rámci Sovětského svazu. Následující kapitola je zaměřena na popis deportací obyvatel Krymu, je zde popsán průběh zatýkání, transportů a život deportovaných v exilu. Poslední kapitola pojednává o problematice návratu deportovaných národů zpět do vlasti, překážkách, které je čekaly a jejich asimilaci do společnosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of mass deportatiton of Crimean inhabitants during 1940s. The theoretical part defines the term totalitarian state and its general characteristic. It defines collective deportations like one of the repression methods. Next chapter focuses on the establishment of Crimean Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic and its role within Soviet Union. The third chapter gives a descripton of mass deportation of Crimean inhabitants, describes process of arresting, transportation process and lives of the deported people in the exile. Last chapter of this thesis focuses on the problem of the return of the deported people back to their homeland, obstacles they were struggling and proces of intercorporating back to society.
