Hotel high schools and labour market in specific region

Abstract:

The aim of this graduation thesis is to analyse the applicability of high school graduates at the labour market in the region of Banska Bystrica. These educational facilities focuse on hotel business, gastronomy and tourism. This graduation thesis is divided into three main chapters. Each of them devides into smaller parts. The first chapter contains acquired and processed scientific knowledge with focus on hotel, gastronomic and tourist industry and it’s specifics. Further off we focus on education and transition of high school graduates to the labour market. This is then described in detail in the next subhead. The last subhead is dedicated to the regional development and the situation in the Slovak Republic. The second chapter of this thesis describes the scientific research. In the phase of preparation, we have been collecting information from various secondary sources. These were then processed, analyzed, evaluated and commented. In the third chapter, we are introducing our own suggestions on improvement of researched situation, based on knowledge acquired during our research.

Abstract:

V diplomovej práci je našim cieľom analyzovať uplatniteľnosť absolventov stredných škôl zameraných na hotelierstvo, gastronómiu, turizmus na trhu práce v Banskobystrickom kraji. Diplomová práca sa skladá z 3 kapitol, ktoré sú v záujme lepšej prehľadnosti členené na menšie subkapitoly. Prvá kapitola sa skladá zo získaných a spracovaných odborných poznatkov. Pozornosť venujeme oblasti hotelierstva, gastronómie, turizmu a špecifikám práce v tomto odvetví. Ďalej venujeme pozornosť vzdelávaniu a prechodu absolventov stredných škôl na trh práce, ktorý v ďalšej subkapitole rozoberáme podrobnejšie. Posledná subkapitole v prvej kapitole je venovaná regionálnemu rozvoju a situácii v Slovenskej republike. Druhú časť diplomovej práce tvorí výskumná časť. V prípravnej etape získavame potrebné údaje zo sekundárnych zdrojov, ktoré spracujeme, analyzujeme a vyjadríme náš názor na zistené skutočnosti. V tretej kapitole na základe získaných vedomostí uvedieme naše návrhy na zlepšenie situácie skúmanej témy.
