The suicides among the students of the secondary school

Abstract:

The main topic of bachelor’s thesis are the suicides among the students of the secondary school. I consider the topic in particular through the testimonies of the students. I was concerned with the issues, that narrowly relate and are connected with the suicidal behavior in the theoretical part of the thesis. I consider the suicide first, as the one of the many types of factors of the social pathology. Then I contemplate about the motives of a suicidal behavior and don’t forget to mention any risk factors, that instigate and are also many times the trigger of a such behavior. I present the individual opinions in regard to the students of the secondary schools, in fact the pupils that are in the age of the adolescence. I bring the statistical overview of the suicides in the Czech Republic as well as Slovak Republic from the year 1993, that is the year when Czech and Slovak Republic has been divided from the former common federal republic. This discursion is to briefly inform about the state of the suicidal behavior in the two independent countries that formerly formed a one entity. My bachelor’s thesis is conceived as exploratory disquisition, whose design is the narrative interview. All the data acquired through the accomplished research have been interpreted with the help of the narrative analysis. I summarize the acquired data in the conclusion and evaluate them with regard to theoretical findings of the thesis.

Abstract:

Ústrednou témou tejto bakalárskej diplomovej práce sú samovraždy u žiakov stredných škôl. Na danú problematiku nahliadam predovšetkým prostredníctvom naratív stredoškolských žiakov. V teoretickej časti som sa zaoberala s otázkami, ktoré úzko súvisia a sú prepojené so suicidiálnym jednaním. Najskôr suicídium posudzujem ako na jeden z mnohých druhov sociálne patologického javu. Ďalej sa zamýšľam nad motívmi samovražedného jednania, pričom neopomínam ani rizikové faktory, ktoré podnecujú a sú neraz spúšťačom takého typu správania. Jednotlivé názory, samozrejme, prezentujem so zameraním na žiakov stredných škôl, teda tých žiakov, ktorí sa nachádzajú v životnej etape adolescencie. V závere teoretickej časti prinášam štatistický prehľad samovražednosti na území celej Českej a Slovenskej republiky od roku 1993, teda od roku, v ktorom došlo k rozdeleniu niekdajšieho federálneho štátu. Tento exkurz má za úlohu stručne a výstižne informovať o stave suicidiálneho jednania v dvoch samostatných štátoch, ktoré kedysi tvorili jeden celok. Moja bakalárska diplomová práca je koncipovaná ako kvalitatívne výskumné šetrenie, ktorého designom je naratívne interview. Všetky dáta, získaných práve prostredníctvom uskutočneného výskumu, boli interpretované za pomoci naratívnej analýzy. V závere práce nadobudnuté dáta sumarizujem a vyhodnocujem ich v náväznosti na teoretické východiska práce.
