Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vyobrazením Romů v krásné literatuře balkánských spisovatelů 2. poloviny 19. století až 1. poloviny 20. století. Rozebrána jsou především díla bulharských a srbských autorů. Práce popisuje vyobrazení Romů v kontextu uměleckých záměrů autorů a doby vzniku děl a věnuje se také jejich stereotypizaci. Vedle samotného rozboru děl práce obsahuje také teoretickou část, ve které je popsána problematika pojmenování, stereotypů, předsudků a imagologie.

Abstract:

This Bachelor’s Thesis deals with portrayal of Romani people in belles-lettres of the Balkans from the 2nd half of the 19th century to the 1st half of the 20th century. In particular, works of Bulgarian and Serbian authors are analysed. The thesis describes portrayal of the Romani people in context of the authors’ artistic intents and period of creation of the works. Stereotyping of the Romani people is also discussed. In addition, the work contains a theoretical part, which deals with issues of naming, stereotypes, prejudices, and imagology.
