Development and influence of terrorist groups on European security

Abstract:

This bachelor’s thesis deals with development of terrorist groups and their impact on European security. It focuses more closely on terrorism as a major security threat, examining its historical development, structure, strategies, tactics, and motivations, leading to a better understanding of the issue. The first part of the work deals with the introduction and definitions of terrorism as it studies its historical development and formation of terrorist groups. It gathers important knowledge about the different stages of the development of terrorism and identifies key events and factors that have influenced the formation and spread of terrorist threats. The next part deals with the structure of terrorist organizations, their tactics, strategies and means of financing. The final part deals with specific terrorist attacks in Europe, discussing their impact on social and political structures, their impact on European society and cooperation between countries in Europe. The aim of the thesis is to provide a comprehensive view of terrorism in Europe.

Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá vývojom teroristických skupín a ich vplyvom na európsku bezpečnosť. Zameriava sa na terorizmus ako na významnú bezpečnostnú hrozbu, skúma jeho historický vývoj, štruktúru, stratégie, taktiky a motivácie, čo vedie k lepšiemu porozumeniu tejto problematiky. Prvá kapitola práce sa zaoberá úvodom do problematiky terorizmu a jeho definíciami. Sleduje jeho historický vývoj a vznik teroristických skupín. Zhromažďuje dôležité poznatky o rôznych etapách vývoja terorizmu v Európe a identifikuje kľúčové udalosti a faktory, ktoré ovplyvnili formovanie a šírenie teroristických hrozieb. Druhá kapitola sa zaoberá štruktúrou teroristických organizácií, ich taktikami, stratégiami a spôsobmi financovania. Posledná kapitola sa venuje konkrétnym teroristickým útokom v Európe, rozoberá ich vplyv na sociálne a politické štruktúry, ich dopad na európsku spoločnosť a spoluprácu medzi krajinami v Európe. Celkovým cieľom práce je priblížiť problematiku terorizmu v Európe.
