The long-term rehabilitation of an elderly patient with hemisindrome and visuospatial neglect: case report

Abstract:

Hemisindrome is a pathology that affects a lateral half of the body as a result of a monolateral brain or spinal cord injury, in this case in particular it was caused by a left hemispherical ischemic stroke. Half of the affected body suffers from serious psychic and motor problems. The rehabilitation program consists of passive mobilization and assisted activation of the compromised limbs, re-education on the motor scheme of the pitch and walking. The goal of rehabilitation is to recover the use of the arts in the activities of daily life. the aim of this thesis is to expose and analyze all the details of this pathology

Abstract:

L'emisindrome ? una patologia che colpisce una met? laterale del corpo in seguito ad una lesione monolaterale encefalica o del midollo spinale, in questo caso in particolare ? stata causata da un ictus ischemico emisferico sinistro. La met? del corpo colpita soffre di seri problemi sensitivi e motori. Il programma riabilitativo consiste nella mobilizzazione passiva e attivazione assistita degli arti compromessi, rieducazione sullo schema motorio del passo e deambulazione. Il progetto della riabilitazione ? quello di recuperare l'utilizzo degli arti nelle attivit? della vita quotidiana. l'obiettivo di questa tesi ? quello di esporre e analizzare tutti i particolari di questa patologia
