Analysis of the IS-IS protocol and comparison with OSPF protocol
Abstract:
Tato bakalářské práce se zabývá detailním popisem fungování směrovacího protokolu Intermediate System to Intermediate System a jeho porovnáním s konkurenčním protokolem Open Shortest Path First. V praktické části práce byly zapojeny tři síťové topologie, provedena konfigurace protokolu IS-IS, analyzováno jeho fungování a bylo provedeno srovnání chování protokolů IS-IS a OSPF v síti typu multi-access
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to describe the functioning of the IS-IS routing protocol, and to compare it to the OSPF protocol. The practical part of the thesis is focused on three different types of network connection, configuration of the IS-IS protocol, the analysis of its function, and the comparison of the behavior of the IS-IS protocol and OSPF protocol in a multi-access network.
