Algorithms Used in Cryptographic Methods

Abstract:

Tato práce je členěna do několika logických celků, kde každý z těchto celků tvoří jednu z kapitol. První kapitolu tvoří Úvod, ve kterém se popisuje struktura práce, její obsah a cíle. Další kapitolu práce tvoří Rešerše literatury, ve které se objasňuje výběr zdrojů, které byly použity pro řešení úkolů práce. V kapitole Volba metodologie se vysvětluje přístup k danému problému a jsou vyjmenovány klady a zápory zvoleného přístupu. Po těchto předepsaných kapitolách následuje vlastní stať, která se skládá z kapitol Základní pojmy, Historické metody, Moderní symetrické šifry, Asymetrické šifry, Prolomení symetrické a asymetrický šifry a Závěr. V kapitole Základní pojmy jsou definovány termíny, které se využívají v kryptografii. Kapitola Historické metody se zabývá historií kryptografie a motivy vedoucími k jejímu vzniku. Jsou zde uvedeny šifrovací metody a proti nim stojící kryptoanalytické postupy, které se využívaly pro dešifrování a které byly pro dané období charakteristické. Kapitola Moderní symetrické šifry popisuje soudobé algoritmy používané k symetrickému šifrování a obsahuje jejich schémata a matematické základy. Odkrývá rizika a výhody symetrických šifer a vysvětluje současné řešení distribuce klíčů. Navazující kapitola Asymetrické šifry představuje algoritmy asymetrických šifer. Poukazuje například na problém autorizace veřejných klíčů, popis jejich rizik a výhod a nakonec samotné matematické vyjádření problematiky asymetrické šifry. Praktická část kapitola Prolomení symetrické a asymetrické šifry se detailně zabývá prolomením těchto šifer pomocí „hrubé síly“...

Abstract:

This work is divided into a number of logical parts and each of these parts is one chapter. First chapter is Exordium where there is described the structure of the work, it's contents and goals. Next chapter consists of of Literature search in which clarifies choice of resources that were used to solve the goals of the work. The chapter Methodology selection explains the approach to the given problem and pros and cons of this approach are listed. After these set chapters the essay itself follows which consists of chapters Basic terms, Historical methods, Modern symmetrical ciphers, Asymmetrical ciphers, Symmetrical and asymmetrical cipher breach and Conclusion. The chapter Basic terms there is defined basic terminology that are being used in cryptography. The chapter Historical methods deals with history of cryptography and motives that led to it's emergence. Here there are listed ciphering methods and opposed to them cryptanalytic methods which were used for deciphering and that were characteristic for a given period. The chapter Modern symmetrical ciphers describes contemporary algorithms that are being used for symmetrical ciphering and contains it's schemes and mathematical foundations. It uncovers risks and advantages of symmetrical ciphers and explains today's solution of distribution of keys. The follow-up chapter Asymmetrical ciphers introduces asymmetrical ciphers algorithms. It points out for example a problem with authorization of public keys, describes advantages and risks involved and at the end there's a mathematical representation of the problematic of asymmetrical cipher. Practical chapter Symmetrical and asymmetrical cipher breach is dealing in detail with breach of these ciphers using a "brute force" method.
