Durability of a cutting tool during cutting of the plastics

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou trvanlivosti řezného nástroje při obrábění plastů. Při třecích zkouškách na hrotovém soustruhu S32 se používala čtyřbřitá fréza o {\o} 8 mm, obrobkem byl váleček z polypropylenu. Naměřené výsledky byly porovnány s výsledky třecích zkoušek pro kov za stejných podmínek. Následně byly provedeny třecí zkoušky pro obrobek z keramiky. Dále se pomocí frézky FC 16 CNC obráběly destičky z PMMA při změnách řezných rychlostí, posuvů a hloubky a vyhodnocovala se drsnost povrchu.

Abstract:

This master thesis concentrates on durability of a cutting tool during cutting of the plastics. A centre lathe S32 and a four toothed milling cutter {\o} 8 mm were used for the frictional tests. A work piece was made from polypropylene. The observed results were compared with the results of the frictional tests for a metal when the conditions of processing were the same. Next the frictional test was done on a ceramics work piece. A PMMA plate was milled by a milling machine FC 16 CNC. The surface speeds, feeds and depths were changed during action. Finally, a surface roughness was interpreted.
