Mezidruhové genetické interakce ryb mohou vznikat na přirozených překryvech jinak parapatrického výskytu druhů, avšak mohou být způsobeny i antropogenně, například environmentálními změnami či introdukcí nepůvodních druhů ichtyofauny. Interspecies genetic interactions can be found in overlap areas of the parapatric species distribution, however it can also be induced by antropogenic changes, for example by environmental changes or introduction of alien species.
