Organizational Culture and its Impact on Functioning of the Organisation

Abstract:

Výchozí myšlenkou diplomové práce je, že organizační kultura odlišuje jednu společnost od druhé a vytváří vnitřní firemní klima. Práce se zaměřuje na organizační kulturu nestátní neziskové organizace poskytující služby v oblasti sociální péče. Na tuto problematiku je nahlíženo z pozice příslušníků kultury, tedy zaměstnanců organizace. Hlavním cílem práce je zodpovězení otázky: „Které prvky organizační kultury mají z pohledu pracovníků vybrané organizace významný vliv na její celkové firemní klima?“ Text práce je rozdělen do tří částí. Teoretická část se zabývá podstatou a významem organizační kultury, přibližuje její jednotlivé prvky a zaměřuje se rovněž na integraci pracovníků s kulturou organizace. Druhá část popisuje metodologii výzkumu, ve kterém bylo využito kvalitativní výzkumné strategie a to rozhovory s pracovníky organizace a analýza dokumentů. V analytické části jsou interpretována data získaná výzkumem. Prvky kultury organizace, které mají významný vliv na její celkové firemní klima, představují hodnoty, normy, styl řízení a některé artefakty materiální povahy.

Abstract:

The initial idea of the diploma thesis is that organizational culture distinguishes one company from another and creates internal organizational climate. The thesis deals with an organizational culture of non-profit organization which provides social services. This dilemma is focused from the position of culture´s members, so the employees of the organization. The aim is to answer the question: „Which elements of organizational culture have, from the employees of chosen organization´s point of view, the significant influence on its general organizational climate?“ The thesis is divided into three parts. The theoretical part deals with the significance of organizational culture, describes particular elements and also the integration of workers with organizational culture. The second part describes research methodology in which qualitative methods were used concretely interviews with employees of the organization and documents analysis. The analytical part focuses on the interpretation of data obtained from research. The elements of organizational culture with the significant influence on its general organizational climate represent values, norms, a leadership style and some artifacts of material disposition.
