Abstract:

Diplomová práce Sionismus od druhé poloviny 19. století do roku 1948 se věnuje židovskému nacionalismu, tj. sionismu, z ideologického a politického hlediska. Práce shrnuje a analyzuje ideologický vývoj tohoto fenoménu ve druhé polovině 19. století. Klíčovou osobností sionismu je shledán Theodor Herzl, který stojí za vznikem politického sionismu. Druhá polovina práce je zaměřena na deskripci základních charakteristik forem politického sionismu a taktéž na jejich komparaci. Je zde také věnován prostor souvisejícím tématům, jako jsou antisemitismus či pogromy, které vedly ke zvýšení emigrace evropských Židů do Palestiny. Tito emigranti v Palestině budovali svoji národní domovinu na socialistických základech a politický sionismus se pro ně stal nástrojem, jak tuto národní domovinu přetavit v nezávislý stát. Diplomatická jednání zástupců sionistů se zástupci vlády Velké Británie a později diplomaty z OSN jsou ústředním tématem závěrečné části práce, ve které jsou popisovány i arabsko-židovské vztahy, stejně jako samotné zřízení Státu Izrael.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis Zionism from the second half of the 19th century until 1948, is dedicated to Jewish nationalism, ie. Zionism, from the ideological and political point of view. This paper summarizes and analyzes the ideological development of this phenomenon in the second half of the 19th century. The key personality of Zionism, Theodor Herzl, is revealed as the founder of its political form. The second half of this paper is focused on describing the basic characteristics of the forms of political Zionism, and also to compare them. There is also a space dedicated to related topics, such as anti-Semitism and pogroms that led to an increase emigration of European Jews to Palestine. These emigrants built their national homeland in Palestine on a socialist basis and political Zionism became a tool for them to transform the national homeland into an independent state. Diplomatic negotiations between the representatives of the Zionists and representatives of the governments of Great Britain and later the United Nations diplomats are central topic of the final part, which describes the Arab-Jewish relationship as well as the establishment of the State of Israel itself.
