The change of the attitude of high school students to the English language due to the distance learning

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na zhodnocení, zda různé přístupy a formy vzdělávání a jejich využití, v době Covidovích omezení, měly dopad na studenty, čtyř různých středních škol v Ústeckém kraji, s různými styly učení a jejich motivaci ke studiu anglického jazyka. Teoretická část této práce představuje a vymezuje základní teoretický rámec, konkrétně typy výuky a pojmy - motivace a styly učení. Praktická část této práce se zaměřuje na průzkum provedený formou dotazníkového šetření a analýzou shromážděných dat. Cílem této práce je zjistit, zda různé přístupy a formy výuky a jejich využití v období pandemie Covid-19, měly negativní dopad na studenty s odlišnými styly učení a jejich motivaci ke studiu anglického jazyka.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis aims to evaluate if different approaches and forms of education and their use in the time of Covid-restrictions had an impact on students, from four separate high schools in the Ústí region, with different learning styles and their motivation to study English. The theoretical part of this paper introduces and defines the basic theoretical framework of the paper, specifically, the types of teaching and the concepts of motivation and learning styles. The practical part of this paper revolves around a survey done in the form of a questionnaire. It is also concerned with analyzing collected data. The objective of this thesis is to find out if different approaches and forms of teaching and their use during the period of the time of covid-19 pandemic had a negative impact on students with different learning styles and their motivation to study the English language.
